形容词的用法：

作定语：

This is a very interesting movie.

这是一部很有趣的电影。

做表语：

This movie is very interesting. 

这部电影很有趣。

做补语：

I found this movie very interesting. 

我发现这部电影很有趣。

做状语：

Finally,Peter arrived here,cold and hungry. 

最终，彼得来到这里，又冷又饿。

“the+形容词”表示一类人，相当于名词，用作主语或宾语。例如: 

the new；the old； the old;    the young； the rich;   the poor 

形容词的比较级和最高级的构成

(1)一般情况下，直接在词尾加-er/-est

small-smaller-smallest

(2)原级本身以-e结尾的词，只加-r/-st

large-larger-largest

(3)重读闭音节词，词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写最后一个辅音字母，再加-er/-est

big-bigger-biggest

(4)以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词，通常变y为i，

再加-er/-est

heavy-heavier-heaviest

(5)多音节词和部分双音节词在词前加more/most

形容词原级、比较级用法

(1)A +谓语+形容词的比较级+than +B，表示“A 比B更……”

(2)A +谓语+ less +形容词的原级+than + B；

A +谓语的否定式+so(as)+形容词的原级+as +B

表示“A不如 B……”。

(3)A +谓语+as +形容词的原级+as +B，

表示“A和B一样……”。

(4)the+比较级…,the+比较级…，表示“越……，越……”。

(5)比较级+and +比较级，表示“越来越……”。

(6)the +比较级(+of+the+two+名词)，表示“两者中较……的那一个”。

(7)倍数句型。

①倍数+形容词的比较级+than。

②倍数+as +形容词的原级+as。

③倍数+the +名词( size, height, weight, length, width等)+of。

④倍数+as + many/much +名词+as。
